Unbound—To reach the end of return. Not through denial, but through profound understanding. Under The Cycle this state marks a soul’s transcendent reintegration: a moment when all karmic conditions have been fully seen, accepted, and released. Nothing is left unresolved. Nothing compels another life.

Veil of Transmutation—The liminal astral field where souls await reincarnation, undergoing karmic assessment. All standard deaths result in at least 100 Human Realm days within the Veil, where karmic imbalances begin to sort. Souls with extreme traits drift toward adjacent realms, greed pulls downward toward instinct; hatred rises toward conflict. Entry into the Veil is universal except for those on the higher path of Instantaneous Reincarnation.
Vessel—The triadic interface through which existence is inhabited, composed of body, consciousness, and construct. The body provides physical presence, the consciousness provides awareness and experience, and the construct defines the vessel’s metaphysical design. Its capacity, limits, and rules of binding. A Vessel may persist with any one component diminished, altered, or absent, but instability arises when the three fall out of alignment.
Violent Death Clause—A karmic deviation occurring when a soul dies through violence and is consumed by hatred or vengeance. Such souls bypass the Veil of Transmutation and may become Bound Ghosts, location bound beings trapped in craving and pain, unable to reincarnate until karmic balance is restored.
Vital Motes—Micro-portions of living soul essence generated through meaningful action, connection, and conscious choice. They are units of lived vitality rather than identity: carrying momentum, insight, and experiential refinement, not memory or selfhood. Vital Motes circulate across the Liminal Shore through acts of trust, resonance, sacrifice, or shared purpose. When exchanged freely and reintegrated properly, they nourish growth across lives, strengthening continuity without fragmenting the soul. Their natural function is movement: to be given, received, and returned to the greater flow of karmic becoming.
Vows—Sacred declarations made to the self, cosmos, or divine will. Vows reshape the soul’s karma at a structural level. Fulfilled Vows bring immense merit; broken Vows create deep scars that may persist across cycles.

Wake—The radiance of virtue and wisdom left in a soul’s karmic trail. It acts as a guiding light, easing reincarnation and softening karmic impact. Wake cannot erase karma but grants clarity and grace. Unlike Weight, Wake may be shared or transferred among souls.
Weave—The karmic tapestry of a soul’s actions, thoughts, and intentions across lifetimes. It is neither a reward nor punishment, but a precise reflection of the soul’s inner condition. The Weave determines the soul’s destination within The Cycle and cannot be undone, only transmuted through deep transformation.
Weight—The burden of unresolved karma, attachments, and spiritual debts. It determines the soul’s momentum, whether it sinks into the Hollow Realm or rises toward the Lustral Haven. Heavy Weight binds a soul in recurrence; light Weight opens the path of ascent.
Whispered Testament—A secret rite or forgotten invocation, known only to those who reach the Realm of Whispered Truth, that allows the severing of Oaths, Vows, or Covenants. It is the final recourse for souls bound by ancient promises.
Wind—The mysterious force of blessing, grace, or intervention that alters the course of a soul without negating karma. Winds arise from ancestors, divine beings, or rare spiritual resonance. They may elevate, deceive, or test a soul’s path. Some Winds are liberating; others become burdens disguised as gifts.
