Abaddhah—The only soul who moves Unbound. Neither ascended nor fallen, the Abaddhah has severed all karmic bindings without dissolving into formlessness. He retains full memory of all past incarnations and moves through realms unhindered without attachment. His presence disrupts the ordinary laws of rebirth, acting as both witness and fulcrum for karmic transformation. Some believe his role is to preserve the integrity of awakening itself, appearing when The Cycle begins to collapse into entropy or distortion. Blessed souls meet him in moments of total necessity, but to most, he is only a myth whispered where suffering and truth collide.
Ageless—A being who does not age or physically deteriorate yet can still be killed. In the Waking Earth, agelessness arises only when a being’s soul-total exceeds one: whether through fusion, cohabitation, or the joining of soul-fragments from different origins. These composite souls stabilize the body beyond mortality.
Ashura—A warrior soul bound by the Twin War Burden, caught between the realm of conflict and another karmic home. Unlike ordinary combatants, Ashura are not simply fighters. They are archetypes of unresolved rage, duty, and transformation. They are driven not just by the act of war, but by the unresolved karmic forces war represent: Hatred, betrayal, vengeance, and identity. Most Ashura are unaware of their dual-state existence, only rarely awakening to the spiritual implications of their endless struggle. The Ashura Shogunate serves as their proving ground, crucible, and prison.

Common Realms—Realms in which souls cycle through birth, suffering, craving, and loss. All these realms are shaped by the Three Poisons: Greed, Hatred, and Delusion. They are not places in the ultimate sense, but states of karmic entanglement—modes of being in which the self is shaped, tested, and often forgotten. Though some of these realms appear elevated in discipline or beauty, all are considered bound. Progress is possible within them, but none offers final release. The Six Common Realms include:
- The Hollow Realm—Amnesia of the soul; fragmented identity; spiritual silence.
- The Hungry Ghost Realm—Eternal craving, longing, and karmic debt.
- The Animal Realm—Instinct-driven survival and unconscious suffering.
- The Human Realm—Moral discernment, memory, and the possibility of awakening.
- The Fighting Spirits Realm—Endless conflict, ambition, and internal war.
- The Lustral Haven—Purification through remembrance and self-unmaking.
Covenants—The highest form of spiritual agreement, often formed by blood, ritual, or divine sanction. Covenants bind entire bloodlines or factions through time. Breaking a Covenant may fracture a soul or doom its lineage to cycles of debt and suffering.

Daemon—An embodied, non-incarnate influence-entity native to the Hollow Realm. Daemons possess stable Hollow-formed bodies but do not feed, siphon, or collect, and therefore do not participate in the infernal economy of debt. Older in form than appetite-driven Fiends, Daemons derive their sustained coherence and authority from the Incubus King, who binds them into infrastructural roles. They act as catalytic agents, threshold custodians, and regulatory mechanisms, shaping outcomes through pressure, interpretation, and boundary enforcement rather than direct predation.
Demon—A being formed when hatred and wrath overwhelm a human soul beyond recovery. Demons are shaped by aggression, domination, and the compulsion to impose will upon others. Their identity is forged through conflict, and their power grows through violence, coercion, and the suffering they inflict or provoke. They are not a separate species, but the final crystallization of anger after compassion and restraint has fully collapsed. Note: Ashura are a war-formed subset of demonic manifestation, arising from sustained conflict rather than singular collapse.
Descent Through Namefall—The final act of the soul before birth: a sacred fall through the field of Namefall, where the Ineffable Name is conferred in silence. This imprint determines the soul’s orientation in its next life. Its hidden nature, its spiritual tests, and the truths it will be drawn toward. The soul forgets this name upon incarnation, but it is never lost.
